Maryland

Maryland

There may not be any casinos or even racinos here, but what you will find if you want to place bets in Maryland  are five horse racing tracks where you can bet on the outcome of the races for a bit of fun and the chance to win big. There is a state lottery here too, so those who like to bet on games rather than races can at least take that option – with the knowledge that any win that they take through that outlet would be much bigger than something they could ever have won in most casinos!

The five horse racing tracks here are spread out across five cities, which are Baltimore, Berlin, Laurel, Timonium, and Fort Washington. We will look at these venues in detail, so that you can see what you should expect when you come to Maryland! The Timonium Racetrack is open from the 24th of August right the way through the 2nd of September each year with races from 10am to 8pm, and you will be able to access a race book while you are there to place bets on the races. Laurel Park has live racing and simulcasting daily, so it is open from 1.10pm to 6.15pm, and while this may be a shorter window of time it is something that you can enjoy year round. There is of course a race book to get into here as well! Ocean Downs is the horse racing track which is based in Berlin, and which is open every day from noon to midnight, an easy timetable which you will certainly be able to keep in mind without having to try; with the race book here you will certainly be able to have a good time, too, and you may find that those twelve hours fly by before you even know it. Finally, the Pimlico Race Course is based in Baltimore, and hosts live racing from March 31 to June 6 every year. You will find the track open for racing from Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to midnight, which seems to be a popular choice for opening hours in this state; meanwhile, you can also enjoy simulcasting from Sundays to Tuesdays and from noon to 8pm, giving you the chance to at least watch the horses on the big screens if you cannot get down on a day when they will be there racing in person.

With four tracks and four race books, so long as you go down at a time when the venues are open you will find many opportunities to place bets in Maryland. Of course, if you were actually looking for some casino style gaming then you will have to try gambling at online casino sites instead, as these are the only kinds of casinos that will be available to you in the state! These are very convenient and fun to play at too, so you may well find that you prefer them to playing at a normal casino anyway.
