There are casinos and horse racing tracks for everyone to enjoy in the Keystone State, so if you are looking for a place to make some bets in Pennsylvania it will not be difficult to do so. There are five gambling venues here, which are split up into one casino and four horse tracks – and though this may not represent a huge amount of choice, you can be sure that there is enough quality in the venues here to make up for it very easily. Each of the venues is in a different city, so you have the choice of going to Bensalem, Grantville, Meadow Lands, Mount Pocono, and Wilkes-Barre.
The Penn National Race Course is located in Grantville, and this is the first venue which we are going to look at in Pennsylvania. It is open daily from 12.30pm to 2am, so you can make a real evening out of it; live racing takes place from the 2nd of January to the 30th of December each year, leaving just a small break for new year celebrations and time off for the workers before everything gets back underway again. Next up is The Meadows in Meadow Lands, which is open every day of the week from 12.30pm til midnight. The giant horse statue at the entrance to the venue will welcome you in, and then you can begin to assess the state of the turf! The Downs at Pocono is located in Wilkes-Barre, and this venue hosts living racing from the beginning of April through to the middle of October each year. It also has simulcasting every day from 11am to 11.30pm, so there is always something to watch even if the races are not happening in front of you! Then there is the Philadelphia Park Casino and Racetrack, the racino in Bensalem which is open every single day from 11am to midnight. While you may not be able to bet late here, you can certainly hang around until closing time to get every last moment of excitement! Finally there is the Mount Airy Resort and Casino in Mount Pocono, which is the only place to find classic casino games in the state. There are two thousand five hundred and twenty three electronic gaming machines here, all settled within a sixty eight thousand square foot gambling floor which gives you plenty of elbow room – and room to stand around look at the machines as you decide which one you are going to go for!
There are some really great opportunities for entertainment here, and with a state lottery taking place on a weekly basis too there are certainly plenty of places to enjoy yourself in Pennsylvania. You can get all of the betting opportunities that you like so long as you are able to look ahead and ensure that the venue you want is going to be open when you get there, to avoid having to turn around and come back if it is out of season or closed.
